RCJ Opens Its Doors

The Royal Courts of Justice (RCJ) will be opening its doors as part of the London Open House Festival on Saturday 16 September 2023. From 10am until 4pm, the building will be open to visitors to drop in. There will be a series of mock trials in which visitors can participate, as well as exhibitions of Judicial clothing which will be displayed.

The RCJ opened in 1882, following 8 years of construction work. Its frontage, which faces onto The Strand, is 13th Century Gothic in style.

The RCJ's 'drop in' open house day follows an open weekend on 9 and 10 September 2023 held at Lincoln's Inn and will be followed by participation by Middle Temple and Temple Church on Sunday 17 September.
